Dr. Reem Atout, DDS, MS

Dr. Reem Atout is a highly accomplished and board-certified periodontist with over 25 years of experience in dentistry and 15 years of specialized expertise in periodontics. She holds both a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and a Master of Science (MS) degree, combining advanced clinical knowledge with a strong academic foundation.

Dr. Atout's professional achievements include being a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCD(C)). She also holds a Manitoba Specialist Dental License and has been a licensed practitioner in California since 2001.

Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her leadership and contributions to dental education and professional organizations. She served as President of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology (2018 to 2022), Chair of its Education Committee (2017 to 2020), and Member of the Canadian Dental Association Research Committee (2018 to 2023).

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Atout spent nearly a decade as an Associate Professor in Periodontics at the University of Manitoba, where she contributed to research, curriculum development, and training the next generation of dental professionals.

Dr. Atout is deeply committed to staying at the forefront of her field by attending continuing education courses and professional meetings to remain current with the latest developments in periodontal and implant dentistry. Her patient-focused philosophy emphasizes precision, compassion, and long-term oral health.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Atout enjoys hot yoga, Pilates, hiking, and traveling, finding balance through wellness and exploration.
