Dental insurance we accept

We accept most major dental PPO plans and work hard to maximize your benefits. If you do not see your carrier below, call us at 916-538-6900 and we will verify your coverage before your visit.

PPO plans we are in-network with

We are in-network with the major dental PPO carriers listed below. Coverage details vary by employer group and plan tier, so the most reliable way to confirm your benefits is a quick phone call with your member ID in hand.

Preferred provider

Delta Dental

We participate in Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier. DeltaCare USA (HMO) patients can also select our office as their primary provider.

In-network PPO

MetLife

We accept MetLife PPO (DPPO). In-network visits typically save patients 10 to 35 percent compared to out-of-network.

In-network PPO

Aetna

Aetna PPO and Indemnity plans accepted. Aetna no longer sells individual dental plans in California, so most Aetna coverage today is employer-sponsored.

In-network PPO

Cigna

We accept all Cigna dental PPO plans, including Preventive, 1000, and 1500. Family deductible caps at $150, so larger families often see the biggest savings.

In-network PPO

Anthem Blue Cross

We participate in the Anthem Blue Cross network. Dental Prime and Dental Blue PPO plans are both accepted.

PPO and HMO (Federal only)

Blue Shield

We accept Blue Shield PPO plans. For the HMO, we are in-network only for the Federal Employee plan. Note that some Enhanced PPO plans exclude orthodontic coverage, and orthodontic benefits typically require a 12-month waiting period.

Guardian

All Guardian PPO plans accepted. Maximum Rollover benefits apply when you use an in-network office like ours.

Principal

Principal PPO plans accepted. Maximum Benefit Accumulation rolls unused annual benefits forward when you visit us regularly.

United Concordia

We accept Active PPO (Concordia Preferred), Passive PPO (Concordia Flex), and UCElect plans. United Concordia no longer sells individual coverage.

UnitedHealthcare

We accept UnitedHealthcare Premier plans. Family deductible caps at $150, which helps larger families budget predictably.

In-network PPO

Humana

Individual Preventive Plus, Loyalty Plus, and Veterans Preventive Plus plans, plus Humana group PPO and Traditional Preferred plans.

In-network PPO

Premier Access

Sacramento-based carrier. We accept their group PPO plans and the Covered California pediatric PPO for patients under 19.

Do not see your carrier? Call us at (916) 538-6900. We may still be able to bill as an out-of-network provider and help you get the maximum reimbursement your plan allows.

How your benefits work

We do the paperwork. You get the care.

Bring your insurance card to your first visit or send us your member ID ahead of time. We verify coverage, submit claims on your behalf, and collect only your estimated copay at checkout. If anything changes after the insurer processes the claim, we follow up with you directly.

What if my carrier is not listed?

We can often bill out-of-network carriers and help you get the highest reimbursement your plan allows. Call our office with your carrier name and member ID and we will run a benefits check.

Do you accept Medi-Cal or Denti-Cal?

We do not participate in Medi-Cal or Denti-Cal at this time. Patients with Medi-Cal coverage can still receive care with us through self-pay, Cherry financing, or CareCredit.

Is there a Veterans Preferred Plan?

Yes. We offer a Veterans Preferred Plan for veterans and their families, with substantial discounts on most procedures. Ask our front desk for details when you book.

What happens if my plan does not cover a recommended treatment?

We give you a clear written estimate before we begin. If your plan covers less than expected, we will walk you through your options including phasing treatment, financing through Cherry or CareCredit, or adjusting the plan to fit your budget.
