The process step by step

We keep the process straightforward so you know exactly what to expect. From your first consultation to wearing your new denture, here is how it works:

1. Consultation and planning. We examine your teeth and gums, discuss your goals, and create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
2. Impressions and try-ins. After any necessary extractions and initial healing, we take impressions and create a denture base for you to try in. This lets us confirm fit and esthetics before your final denture is made.
3. Delivery of your denture. We fit your final denture, make any adjustments, and teach you how to insert, remove, and care for it.
4. Three month reline. After healing, we reline the denture base to match your new gum and bone contours. This improves comfort and retention significantly.

Relines and adjustments

A denture reline is essential after you heal from extractions. Your gums and bone reshape as they recover, which means your denture will become loose and less comfortable. A reline readapts the denture to your new anatomy.

The three month reline is the most important one. It follows the critical healing phase and restores fit, retention, and chewing efficiency. Additional relines can be done later as needed, typically every few years depending on how your tissues change.
